Ono Hawaiian Foods – A Final Farewell

With the news of Ono Hawaiian Foods closing next month, some friends and I decided to visit the iconic eatery on Kapahulu one last time before they closed their doors for good. Here’s a look back at that bittersweet day…

Ono Hawaiian Foods, thank you very much for serving some of the best Hawaiian Foods Hawaii has ever eaten over the last 50 plus years. You will be sorely missed and we wish your ohana the very best in your future endeavors.

If you’ve never been, or want to go back one more time, there’s still time. They are said to be closing in August. I recommend going early to avoid the line. It can get hot outside while you wait, though they restaurant does generously offer umbrellas for the waiting patrons outside. It was refreshing to see this type of hospitality.
